Existing platforms such as Tiptapp, Avy, and Nextdoor already address similar needs, and findings from our workshop and survey revealed a spectrum of attitudes toward the concept. Nevertheless, our research identified a clear and growing demand for new approaches to mobility, largely driven by escalating environmental concerns.

The increasing urbanization of cities has led to severe traffic congestion, resulting in prolonged commute times, elevated stress levels, and rising emissions of greenhouse gases. These factors contribute significantly to global warming and deteriorating urban air quality. Promoting shared mobility solutions, such as carpooling and the collective use of vehicles, offers a viable strategy to mitigate these impacts. By optimizing the use of existing resources, such approaches can reduce traffic density, lower emissions, and foster more sustainable and resilient urban environments..
